Microsoft® Azure® services are deployed, based on plans laid out in Phase 1. These services are configured to conform to the required features and capabilities identified in requirements workshops. Camera and gateway devices are installed in identified assets.
- Solution development
Object-identification requirements get interpreted into discrete models for recognition and event generation. Camera and gateway devices get mounted and connected to IoT platform.
- Testing and remediation
Device data gets captured and interpreted in as much variety as possible within operational constraints of the environment. Event and notification conditions get evaluated, and models get updated if required. Camera placement gets adjusted for optimal coverage.
- Prioritize next steps

Turning sensor and device data into operational intelligence requires implementation of complex services and capabilities, and specialized skills are needed to deliver a platform that offers enduring value.

The Insight IoT Analytics pilot focuses on deployment of capabilities supporting improved automation of data capture and reporting outputs, for an improved level of operational visibility into facility and asset data and improved report-generation timeliness.
We help you build a framework, demonstrate a use case and empower you to take full advantage of infrastructure and edge-compute capabilities. This foundation can be integrated with new and existing devices and systems.
Our approach includes two phases to first establish a foundational understanding of requirements and outcomes. We then build out a pilot implementation to deliver a suitable infrastructure foundation and demonstrate key features and capabilities.
Prerequisites
To deliver the best benefit from this engagement, the following environment and conditions are recommended:
- Active Microsoft® Azure® subscription
- Availability from internal stakeholders and staff
- One or more target analytics or business-intelligence use cases, which benefit from integrated IoT data capture
- Existing deployment of devices or sensors, which provide source data to the solution
What to expect
The pilot includes:
- Consultation: We begin with an in-depth workshop set to understand your business needs and determine the best use case for your available devices and data. This includes discussions around workload and specifics around connectivity and output requirements.
- Design: Our experts recommend specific solutions based on identified opportunities. Popular solutions include a reference architecture of Azure IoT and Azure Synapse, including data models based on the industry data warehouse models in the Synapse gallery to drive the most value.
- Deployment and setup: The approved package, including networking, identity security and monitoring configuration applied to scoped services, will be deployed and the analytical models developed to meet use-case requirements.
- Value assessment: Testing and validation, both of outcome achievement and value realization, will be executed and documented to determine appropriate next steps for scale and adoption of further use cases.
