Amy Protexter assumed her role as Insight senior vice president of North America marketing in September 2017. She joined the company in 2014 as vice president of marketing. Her success at leading change in corporate cultures brought her to Insight, where she has guided the company's evolving brand from a global value-added reseller to a leading solution integrator. She and her team share the Insight story through some of the channel's most compelling digital marketing strategies.

Protexter began her career in healthcare, where she demonstrated her ability to challenge an organization's status quo and better align its purpose and messaging. As senior vice president and chief marketing and communications officer for Alegent Health — and later as a vice president at Vanguard Health Systems — she created messaging, projects and advocacy efforts to push large, complex healthcare systems to a more patient-centric model.

Before joining Insight, she took an innovative approach to education. She served as vice president of marketing at Edgenuity, leading a complete renaming and rebranding of the private equity-owned digital learning provider. She also crafted internal and external strategies focused on the corporate purpose of student empowerment.

Protexter earned her master's degree in executive leadership from the University of Nebraska and graduated from Augustana College with a degree in history. As a history major, she noticed how a single idea expresses itself in different forms through a society's conduct, art and culture. Her talent for connecting those ideas into a compelling message led Amy to her master's degree in executive leadership.

Protexter leads a team of more than 150 employees to shape Insight's brand, engage teammates, attract and retain clients, drive e-commerce strategies, and lead global brand, web and digital marketing strategy. She applies the latest marketing ideas to Insight's global efforts to support and strengthen the company's identity as a problem-solving provider that puts clients first.
