Office 365 E5 for the Modern Workplace
From Windows 10, to Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 releases — Microsoft has been making some waves in the tech world. Now, the anticipation is building for their Office 365 E5 release.
What do we know so far?
- E5 is a new licensing suite for Office 365.
- It will be released in the U.S. Dec. 1, 2015.
- E5 will displace the E4 licensing suite.
What are the benefits of E5?
The E5 licensing bundle will include Cloud PBX and PSTN conferencing, as well as additional software to help customers with datasets and analytics.
What can Cloud PBX and PSTN conferencing do for my business?
Cloud PBX will eliminate the need for a separate PBX system, as you will be able to send and receive calls within your Office 365 environment. You can make, receive and transfer calls from any device with Internet access. You can even purchase calling plans as an add-on to the bundle. Also, the Office 365 management portal is a one-stop shop for administrators, allowing them to manage all communications through a single portal — from emails to content.
How will the analytics work?
Equivio Analytics allows for easier access to your data within Office 365, and you can now work with all of the data that is stored within Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business and Skype for Business. This essentially means your data will become more efficient — better organized, more searchable and easier to analyze.
How do the data services work?
Data can sometimes be overwhelming — but it can also be powerful when you are able to see trends and tell stories with that data. Microsoft’s data visualization, created through Power BI, allows the user to create and manage interactive reports or dashboard-style analytics. These complex visualizations and reports use data collected from spreadsheets and are simple for the user to create.
This is just a sneak peek into what to expect with the Office 365 E5 bundle release — as Microsoft is also releasing new and improved functionalities across their enterprise suites. Don’t forget that the release in the U.S. is Dec. 1 — and now you know what to look forward to and how Office 365 E5 can transform your business.
