Shayne Corson

Shayne Corson was born in Barrie, Ontario. A career NHL Player, Shayne Corson played 1156 NHL games throughout his 19-year NHL career. Drafted in the 1st round, 8th overall in the 1984 NHL Draft to the Montreal Canadiens, Corson enjoyed stints with the Montreal Canadiens, while also playing for the Edmonton Oilers, St. Louis Blues, Toronto Maple Leafs and the Dallas Stars. In Shayne’s career he’s represented Canada 6 times, playing for Canada in the 98 Olympics, 2-time world JR’s where he won gold and silver medals, Gold at the world championships, 91 Canada Cup winner and a 3-time NHL all-star. During Shayne’s retirement he’s found a love for giving back & is an advocate of mental health where he lives by the saying “it’s ok not being ok”.
