Insight Wins Microsoft US Awards for IoT and DevOps

Digital Innovation solutions deliver client success stories through smart devices and big-data management

TEMPE, Ariz., July 16, 2018 —Insight, the global provider of Insight Intelligent Technology Solutions™ for organizations of all sizes, has been recognized by Microsoft US (MSUS) with 2018 MSUS Partner Awards for Apps and Infrastructure-DevOps and for Data & AI-Internet of Things.

The U.S. awards will be presented July 17 at Microsoft Inspire in Las Vegas. Insight also will receive two global awards at the partner event, the 2018 Microsoft Worldwide Artificial Intelligence Partner of the Year and the 2018 Microsoft Worldwide Modern Desktop of the Year Award, and was named a global finalist for the Customer Experience Partner of the Year and Financial Services Partner of the Year.

“These achievements represent the power of digital transformation because they’re based on helping our clients find ways to run smarter and scale new heights. Each success story demonstrates how technology can transform complex needs into solutions designed to foster growth and innovation while reducing costs,” said Stan Lequin, vice president and general manager, Digital Innovation, Insight.

In winning the MSUS award for DevOps, Insight’s Digital Innovation Solution Area, BlueMetal, helped a global Fortune 500 beverage manufacturer envision analytics workflows through management of big data. The client realized it could no longer continue to gain market share and increase revenue through acquisition alone. The Digital Innovation team assessed and implemented Azure-based platforms. The client incorporated the BlueMetal mobile DevOps platform to consolidate and standardize hundreds of mobile applications worldwide, and implemented the BlueMetal analytics platform to control costs associated with running enormous data programs.

For the MSUS IoT honor, the BlueMetal team collaborated with one of the largest food companies in the world to build a predictive analytics solution designed to avert vending machine downtime and out-of-stock products globally. The Azure cloud-based solution delivers predictive maintenance and real-time data to inform the entire ecosystem, from vending machines and other equipment to distributors, customers and workplace consumers.

“Optimizing the value of information can help companies realize substantial revenue growth that traditional acquisitions and supply chain monitoring never could. Our DevOps, real-time analytics and IoT solutions are helping clients gain new levels of insight that serve as the cornerstone for growth moving forward,” said Lequin.
